Welcome to the All Lands Annual Working Meeting!
We are excited to announce the fourth Annual Working Meeting of the Northern Blues Restoration Partnership held at Churchill School in Baker City, OR. The meeting will focus the partnership's monitoring efforts, local research, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn from peers about the value of local and traditional knowledge. Through an array of speakers working on public, private, and Tribal lands, we will increase our appreciation of monitoring efforts and adaptive management while improving our understanding of the current state of the science.
At this year's meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss our roles in adaptive management and build awareness on how local and traditional knowledge is woven into management decisions and projects. There will be opportunities to learn about a wide range of topics and put our knowledge to the test with an adaptive management scenario. The goals of the event are:
Explore monitoring programs, traditional and local knowledge, and diverse data sources and on-the-ground expertise to guide adaptive management.
Involve all partners in monitoring and using data and observation to improve management practices.
Highlight lessons learned and success stories from ongoing research and past projects to inform future efforts.
Help the broader Northern Blues Restoration Partnership recognize the importance of adaptive management and understand their role within it.
We will also be hosting several, concurrent breakout sessions that will home in on a variety of monitoring topics and provide insight into the challenges and creative solutions.
There will also be an opportunity to present content during a poster session at the end of day one - please respond to this email letting us know if you, public staff, private land managers, or tribal members would like to participate!
